The Bad
Even with all their fancy features and big promises, Simpson fails to deliver a product that takes the title of best pressure washer of 2019. One customer found out that these aren’t always thoroughly checked before leaving their factories, as they sent out a defective unit. Upon troubleshooting and a call with Simpson, it was determined that the problem was with the “mixing valve,” which was flimsy, to begin with. Their solution? They sent the same thing which also didn’t work — long story short, the item was returned, and that was the end of it.
Another customer suffered from the company’s lack of quality control after they sent out a package that was missing everything apart from the pressure washer. There was no gun, no hose, no wand, or any engine oil. And upon calling the company, the customer was rudely hung up on upon mentioning the fact that they are known to make these mistakes in the Amazon community. It’s safe to say that this company isn’t concerned with customer satisfaction.
The Bottom Line
In the end, the Simpson MSH3125 MegaShot Gas Pressure Washer could’ve been an excellent product, if the company behind it cared more about the quality of their pressure washers rather than the profit they’ll be making out of it. While it has the makings to give a brilliant performance, its problems make it too difficult to be put in higher standards, and the company’s customer service doesn’t help at all.
There’s not much of a saving grace for this product. While we are all excited to hear that it carries a powerful Honda motor, that’s all out the window because both the product and the company is lacking. Instead of spending $352 on this pressure washer, it’s probably better to look for a cheaper alternative that gets the job done.
