LifeStation Review

Quick and easy setup. CSAA certified customer service agents. Weekly system validation test. Affordable prices and flexible payment options.

Overview

LifeStation is a privately held, family-owned company that was started in 1977. The company has its headquarters in Union, New Jersey, which is where its main call center resides. LifeStation also has a second call center in Houston, Texas. With nearly four decades in the industry, LifeStation works closely with healthcare providers and hospitals to help seniors.

With LifeStation, you’ll get the freedom to live wherever you want. You have the assistance you need in the event of an emergency right at the push of a button. Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) certified customer support specialists will answer your call, giving you the care and attention you need until the situation is resolved.

Monitoring Features

LifeStation offers a variety of monitoring services and equipment to older adults that want to stay in their homes. The following are some of our favorite ways that LifeStation provides emergency monitoring to those living with medical conditions or ailments.

Speaker Phone Functionality: Using LifeStation means you don’t have to pick up the phone to answer incoming or make outgoing calls. Just press the button on your pendant and you can use its built-in speakerphone capabilities to talk to the person on the other end.

CSAA Certified Agents: When you need to call LifeStation, it’s nice to know that the agent you’re speaking with has the expertise and knowledge you need. All LifeStation agents are Central Station Alarm Association certified, so you can have the peace of mind that you’re speaking with a professional.

Weekly Testing: It’s frustrating when something doesn’t work as it should. When it breaks or the battery dies, you need it fixed right away. LifeStation doesn’t want that for its users, so it performs a weekly test to ensure that your system is connected and behaving properly.

Waterproof Help Button: LifeStation knows some people like to spend time at the pool and the beach. They also know that you have to take showers or baths on a regular basis. With that knowledge, LifeStation made its pendant waterproof, so you don’t have to adjust your schedule or normal activities.

LifeStation Plans

LifeStation offers a variety of medical monitoring pricing plans to allow older adults to safely remain in their own homes. To help you decide if it’s the right medical alert service for you, LifeStation offers a 30-day money back guarantee.

In-Home Traditional: LifeStation’s most basic plan is the In-Home option. This system works with your home phone to get you the help you need with the push of a button. The In-Home plan costs $29.95 per month when paid monthly, $27.95 per month when paid quarterly, or $25.95 per month when paid annually.

In-Home Plus: The In-Home Plus system is great for you if you don’t have a landline in your home. If you’re interested in the In-Home Plus system, you can reach out to LifeStation for a custom quote.

Mobile with GPS: If you’re not a homebody and often find yourself on-the-go, the Mobile with GPS plan might be right for you. You’ll still have access to LifeStation when you’re not at home. The GPS feature helps identify your location in the event of an emergency. Reach out to LifeStation to get a Mobile with GPS custom quote.

The Good

As with all of our editor reviews, we put LifeStation through its paces, so you don’t have to waste your time or money. Let’s take a look at some of our favorite LifeStation service benefits…

Simple to Use

LifeStation is easy to set up and use. The only equipment that comes with the system is your emergency console and help button. If you do need help, just call LifeStation and one of their certified agents will happily walk you through the setup process.

Fall Detection

Accidents happen and it’s always nice to know that if you fall, someone will be there to help. With LifeStation’s Fall Detection, an agent is notified when its proprietary sensor determines that you have fallen. You can add the Fall Detection feature to any LifeStation plan.

No Contracts

LifeStation never requires you to sign an agreement. Unless you want additional services with your plan, the price you pay will remain the same throughout your time with LifeStation. Additionally, you can cancel at any time by giving them 30 days notice.

24/7 Customer Service

Emergencies don’t care what time it is and neither does LifeStation. No matter what time of day, LifeStation has staff available to answer your call. You’ll never encounter an answering machine or get asked for a callback. LifeStation’s friendly, knowledgeable staff is available to you at all times.

The Bad

LifeStation’s website only offers pricing information for the In-Home pricing plan. If you want additional pricing information, you’ll have to reach out to LifeStation. However, there are several options from which you can choose. If a phone call is what it takes to ensure the safety of you or your loved one, it’s worth it, isn’t it?

The range of the In-Home system is only 500 square feet, which is perfect for small homes or apartments. But LifeStation does offer other choices that work for you if you have a bigger home or prefer to go outside and enjoy the weather.

The Bottom Line

LifeStation is a great option for those that prefer simplicity. It’s easy to set up, easy to use, and easy to contact their customer service staff in the case of an emergency. If you do have to reach out to LifeStation, you can rest easy knowing that their certified agents have the expertise you need to see you through any issue.

Other emergency medical alert systems offer complex systems and set up. Not LifeStation. They keep things simple and straightforward for their users. LifeStation gives you affordable pricing options with plans that fit your lifestyle.

Get simple and secure medical monitoring 24/7 with LifeStation and try it risk-free for 30 days!
