The outside temperature of this particular model can get hot enough to burn or to become a fire hazard.
The shell also seems to be much lighter than older models, so perhaps they’ve opted to take out what was used for insulation. Another problem it gives to customers also directly links to how hot it is, as the plastic handles on the sides melt off. Unfortunately, it has filled the apartment with the smell of burning plastic, and it leaves little to be desired.
The Bottom Line
The Crock-Pot SCR300-SS 3-Quart Manual Slow Cooker would have been an excellent contender to top the list of the greatest slow-cookers available in the market now, but because of its flaws and mediocre features, it sadly missed the cut. But for its low price of $20.49 I can’t think of a cheaper and more affordable slow-cooker that can produce food as delicious as this one does.
In the end, Crock-Pot SCR300-SS 3-Quart Manual Slow Cooker delivers on its promise of providing us with yummy slow-cooked meals and the convenience of getting our meals on time as we get home from work. It’s an excellent addition to any kitchen, (should you get one without the painful melting problems) whether you’re moving to a new dorm in college or with a small family of four. For its price, you certainly couldn’t find a product that can top up what the Crock-Pot SCR300-SS 3-Quart Manual Slow Cooker does.
